Kite Runner is a novel by Khaled Hosseini. The book tells the story of Amir, who was born in Afghanistan and lived through the Soviet occupation and the Taliban period. When the Taliban are overthrown, Amir goes to America to find his father, who has been living there for years. After living in America, Amir returns to Afghanistan and tries to live a normal life. He has trouble though, because he is still connected with his old life and the past.

Amir is a young Afghan boy who was born in an old house in Kabul. He loved this house, but when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan in 1979, he could no longer live there. His mother had to move to another house that was near the Soviet base. When Amir was a child, his father decided to leave Afghanistan and go to America in order to continue his education. Amir’s mother tried hard to keep the family together. He lived in the United States for 3 years before returning to Afghanistan.

Khaled Hosseini, one of the most acclaimed authors in the world, was born on December 12, 1949 in Kabul, Afghanistan. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, Hosseini’s family fled to Tehran. He began writing when he was a teenager and published his first novel, The Kite Runner (1997), when he was only 30 years old. Hosseini has written novels about life in Iran during the Islamic Revolution and since the country’s return to democracy. Hosseini’s first three novels were written in Farsi, but he has since written English-language books. His work has been translated into more than 40 languages and sold more than 50 million copies worldwide.

He has written twelve novels, all of which have been bestsellers. Hosseini was born on October 14, 1959, in Kabul, Afghanistan. When he was just a young boy, his family fled the country after the Soviet occupation. They settled in Europe where Hosseini completed his high school education. Afterward he studied at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he received a degree in political science.
